Little Nightmares 3 demo released: explore the necropolis and face the monster baby

The demo for Little Nightmares 3 is out, inviting players to the eerie Necropolis, the game’s first location, where they’ll confront a new enemy—a giant monster baby. The demo is available now on all major platforms.

In the demo, players control two characters, Low and Alone, navigating an abandoned desert city called the Necropolis. You can play solo with an AI-controlled partner or in co-op mode. However, crossplay is not supported, so players must be on the same platform. Cross-generation play (e.g., PS5 and PS4) is available. Progress and achievements from the demo won’t carry over to the full game, and the Steam version of the demo lacks Ukrainian language support. The demo has no expiration date until October, allowing players to explore at their own pace.

For fans, a Mirror Edition collector’s set is available for $110, including all digital bonuses from the $60 Deluxe Edition, plus physical items: a figurine of the protagonists, a steelbook case, an artbook, a soundtrack CD, stickers, and a themed box—a true treasure trove for series enthusiasts.

Little Nightmares 3 is the first game in the series to feature co-op gameplay, following two friends trying to escape the terrifying world of Nowhere. The full game launches on October 10 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, PC, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Switch 2.

The Little Nightmares series continues to inspire developers. Recently, a trailer dropped for a horror game set in an alternate 1970s Thailand, and a Ukrainian studio unveiled Floralis, a game about searching for a sister in a world of predatory plants, reminiscent of Inside.
