Square Enix announced on Friday that Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade will launch on Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox Series X|S on January 22, 2026.
The publisher also confirmed that the entire remake trilogy will be released across multiple platforms, including Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, PlayStation 5, Steam, and the Epic Games Store.
This marks the first official confirmation that Final Fantasy VII Rebirth and the yet-untitled third entry will arrive on Nintendo and Xbox platforms. However, it remains unclear whether the third game will debut simultaneously with PlayStation, as both Remake and Rebirth initially launched as PlayStation exclusives.
In our review, we praised Final Fantasy VII Rebirth as “an excellent RPG with some of the best characters in gaming,” highlighting the journey with Aerith, Tifa, and the team as a memorable adventure lasting hundreds of hours, despite some weaker open-world segments and a slightly deflated main narrative.
