The closed beta test for Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. will take place on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, running for five days.
Schedule:
- US (Pacific): September 10, 8 PM – September 15, 8 PM
- US (Eastern): September 10, 11 PM – September 15, 11 PM
- UK (BST): September 11, 4 AM – September 16, 4 AM
How to participate:
- Steam: Visit the game’s Steam page and click Request Access once the button becomes available after the beta goes live.
- PS5 / Xbox Series X/S: Create a Sega account, then request a participation code through the Sega campaign page once the beta starts.
What’s included in the beta:
Sega has confirmed that players will have access to Ranked Mode, Online Matchmaking, Offline Training Mode, and Offline Arcade Mode. Participants will also receive the exclusive in-game title “Virtua Team” once the full game is released.
Release and updates:
- The PC version of Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. launched in January as an enhanced port of Ultimate Showdown (featuring 4K support, rollback netcode, and balance adjustments).
- World Stage will arrive on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S on October 30, with a Nintendo Switch 2 version planned for a later date.
- On the same day, the PC version will get a free World Stage update, introducing new features including a single-player story mode.
- Owners of Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown on PS4 will be able to upgrade to World Stage on PS5 at a discounted price.
