PlayStation: Halo returns — in a Helldivers collaboration

Arrowhead Games has announced that Helldivers 2 will receive a crossover with Halo: ODST on August 26, marking the first official Halo content to appear on PlayStation outside of Fortnite skins.

The collaboration introduces the Obedient Democracy Support Troopers (ODST), also known as the Helljumpers, giving players gear inspired by the legendary unit. The ODST Warbond will feature unlockable weapons including the MA5C Assault Rifle, M6C/SOCOM Pistol, M90A Shotgun, M7S SMG, as well as the A-9 Helljumper and A-35 Recon armor sets.

The update will launch the same day Helldivers 2 arrives on Xbox, expanding the game’s reach beyond PC and PS5. Director Mikael Eriksson said the Xbox release has been long requested by fans:

“We are so excited to bring more Helldivers into our game. The fight for Super Earth has only just begun.”

Helldivers 2 has already become Sony’s fastest-selling title ever, surpassing 12 million sales in its first 12 weeks and hitting 15 million by November 2024.
