Riot Games and Tencent have announced a joint investment of approximately $200 million over the next three years to develop the VALORANT Mobile esports ecosystem. The initiative will include open national and university-level tournaments, as well as regular co-branded events across China.
Bobby Jin Yibo, CEO of TJ Sports and head of publishing for VALORANT Mobile at Tencent, also introduced several competitive integrity features, including a replay system, real-time cheat detection, and live penalty enforcement. Additionally, hardware-based fingerprint recognition will be used to prevent macros and keyboard/mouse pairing.
The official announcement took place at ChinaJoy 2025, where it was confirmed that VALORANT Mobile will launch in China on August 19 for both iOS and Android. However, the global release date remains unannounced.
At launch, VALORANT Mobile will feature 18 agents, 7 maps from the PC version, 2 platform-exclusive Deathmatch maps, and 10 game modes.
