Games come alive, and the fun never ends!

On the first day on the Steam platform, the game “Suicide Squad” attracted less than half the players compared to “The Avengers”

According to SteamDB, an independent data aggregator (initially reported by PCGamesN), Marvel’s Avengers attracted 29,916 players on the Steam platform on its first day of full launch, while Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League gathered only 13,459.

Both games offered early access, allowing players to purchase a special version of the game and start playing before the official launch.

However, the early launch of Suicide Squad was not without difficulties. Right after the game became available in New Zealand and Australia, Rocksteady had to temporarily disable it due to a bug that automatically ended the game after the first login.

The downtime lasted for more than six hours. Additional technical maintenance was then conducted on Wednesday, lasting about an hour.

In response to these issues, Warner Bros. compensated early access players of Suicide Squad with $20 or £16 worth of in-game currency.

Similar to Suicide Squad, both Marvel’s Avengers and Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League required an internet connection to play. While Suicide Squad needed a stable connection throughout the gameplay, Marvel’s Avengers only required a one-time check at the beginning of each session.

Last year, Crystal Dynamics announced the cessation of official support for Marvel’s Avengers on September 30, 2023, releasing its final update on March 31. The game is now unavailable for purchase.

Crystal Dynamics initially launched Marvel’s Avengers as a Square Enix studio but was eventually sold to Embracer Group along with several other Western Square Enix studios.
