Valve has acquired the rights to the Cache map for Counter-Strike 2. The news was shared by FMPONE, the developer of the map’s updated version, in a post on X.
“Out of respect for the development team, I held off on commenting, but Valve reached out to purchase it on the very day it was released. It was a great honor, and I don’t want anyone to think we hesitated for even a moment,” he wrote.
Additionally, dataminers have already discovered references to Cache in CS2’s game files, indicating that the map will likely be officially added to the game soon. Until now, it has only been available via the Workshop.
