Rockstar Games has announced a new release date for the highly anticipated GTA 6 — the game will launch on May 26, 2026. The update was shared via the studio’s social media and the official website.
The developers explained that they need additional time for final polishing. Rockstar thanked fans for their continued support and patience.
Originally, GTA 6 was scheduled for release in fall 2025 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, but the launch has now been pushed back by nearly half a year. Notably, there is still no mention of a PC version, suggesting it may arrive later — as was the case with previous GTA titles.
GTA 6 was officially revealed in December 2023, though Rockstar was forced to release the first trailer early after it was leaked by hackers.
