PGL has unveiled its updated long-term strategy for Dota 2 events, revealing plans to host 13 tournaments between 2025 and 2028, each featuring a $1 million prize pool, for a total of $13 million in prize money.
In 2026, PGL will hold three events — in March, April, and November. For 2027 and 2028, the organizer has scheduled four tournaments per year — in March, May, October, and November. The exact locations of these events have yet to be announced.
Additionally, PGL has revealed new dates for its 2025 tournaments:
- Season 5 will take place from June 18 to 29 (originally planned for November),
- Season 6 is now scheduled for November 4 to 16 (previously not planned for this year).
This marks PGL’s most ambitious long-term initiative for Dota 2 to date, following the structural changes to the competitive scene introduced in 2024.
