id Software and Bethesda have released the second official trailer for DOOM: The Dark Ages, showcasing explosive new gameplay, fresh enemies, and brutal weaponry. The game is set to launch on May 15, 2025, for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5, and will be available on Game Pass from day one.

New Weapons and Combat Features

The trailer highlights a powerful arsenal, including a double-barreled plasma shotgun and the Saw Shield—a lethal, rotating shield capable of shredding weak enemies and dealing damage over time to stronger foes. The game also features brutal melee finishers with a variety of close-range weapons, adding more depth to combat.

New Demonic Threats

Players will face off against terrifying new enemies, including a flaming cyberdemon with Lovecraftian design elements and an occult sorcerer that uses dark magic attacks. These foes introduce new combat challenges and require strategic thinking and adaptability.
