m0NESY Could Be on His Way to Team Falcons — Star AWPer Nears Transfer from G2 Esports

Russian CS pro Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov, currently playing for G2 Esports, is reportedly close to joining Team Falcons. The information comes from esports insider Guillaume “neL” Canelo, who cites sources familiar with the situation.

The transfer could be finalized ahead of the BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025, with m0NESY expected to replace Abdul “degster” Gasanov in Falcons’ starting lineup. Neither organization has officially commented on the rumors.

The potential buyout amount hasn’t been disclosed. Notably, Team Falcons had already shown interest in m0NESY back in 2024 but failed to reach an agreement with G2 at the time. Now, with his contract set to expire this summer, G2 may be looking to sell the player rather than risk losing him for free.

If the deal goes through, m0NESY’s move could become one of the biggest roster changes leading up to the Austin Major — and a major upgrade for the ambitious Falcons roster.
