Team Vitality emerged as the champions of BLAST Open Spring 2025 in CS2, defeating MOUZ 3-2. The grand final was a hard-fought battle, with Inferno making history as the first-ever 13-0 map win in a decisive match of a major tournament.
Path to Victory
Vitality dominated the event, finishing first in Group A before defeating Team Spirit in the semifinals. The team claimed $150,000 for their victory, while MOUZ secured $60,000 as runners-up.
The playoffs took place from March 28 to 30 in Portugal, while the group stage was held in Denmark. A total of six teams competed for the $290,000 prize pool.
ZywOo Named Tournament MVP
Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut was crowned the MVP of BLAST Open Spring 2025. Throughout the tournament, the French AWPer only had two maps with a negative rating—against MOUZ and Team Spirit. On all other maps, his rating exceeded 1.2.
This marks ZywOo’s 23rd career MVP award and his third in 2025, following his standout performances at ESL Pro League Season 21 and IEM Katowice 2025. His closest rival, Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev, currently holds 21 MVP titles.
