GSC Game World has released Patch 1.3.1 for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl. The update focuses on bug fixes that previously blocked the progression of main and side missions, as well as technical improvements.
Key Fixes
Story and Quests
- Fixed issues where certain NPCs could disappear, preventing mission completion.
- Players can now complete “U honytvi za pryvidamy”, “Temni chasy,” “Lehendy Zony,” and other quests without critical bugs.
- Doors and passages in quests will no longer remain locked.
Technical Fixes
- Game crashes related to EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION have been resolved.
- Sound optimizations: anomaly effects no longer loop, and voice positioning is now accurate.
- Interface fixes for smoother gamepad navigation.
- NPC behavior improvements, ensuring they return to their designated locations after emissions.
The update is now available on PC and Xbox Series X|S. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 remains part of Game Pass, and the developers promise further improvements in the future.
