New rumors suggest that Half-Life 3 might be nearing completion. Mentions of a project codenamed “HLX” were discovered in the code of Dota 2, Counter-Strike 2, and the Source 2 engine console.

Researchers found several references related to this name: hlx, hlxaudio, hlxartists, as well as teams working on optimization. This could indicate that the game is in its final development stage.

The code also mentions several technical innovations:

• Dynamic navigation mesh, which could enhance AI behavior.
• Advanced hair rendering system, suggesting more detailed character models.
• Deformable objects, adding realism to the game world.
