At the Esports Awards 2024, held in Los Angeles, Team Falcons was crowned Esports Organization of the Year. The award recognizes their outstanding achievements in the esports world over the past year.
The top three organizations in the category were completed by G2 Esports, which took second place, and Team Liquid, which secured third.
However, Falcons’ victory sparked controversy among esports fans. The criticism stems from the partnership between the Esports Awards and the Esports World Cup (EWC), an event organized by the Saudi Arabian Sovereign Wealth Fund, which is also an investor in Team Falcons. Additionally, the Esports Awards had previously held an event this year in Riyadh during EWC 2024, fueling speculation about the influence of the partnership.
