Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance to be delisted

The co-op action RPG Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance will no longer be available for purchase starting February 24, 2025, after which the game’s servers will be shut down. However, players who already own the game will still be able to play the base game and its DLC in offline single-player mode.

This announcement was shared via a message on digital storefronts:

“We will be shutting down the Dark Alliance servers on 2/24/2025, and it will no longer be available to purchase starting that day. The base game and all DLC are still available to play in offline single player by anyone who currently owns it.”

Developed by Tuque Games and published by Wizards of the Coast, Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance first launched in June 2021 for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, and PC. It was also made available to Xbox Game Pass subscribers on release day.

Described as a “dynamic co-op action RPG”, the game brings the world of Dungeons & Dragons to life:

“Frost giants and vengeful dragons roam unchecked through Icewind Dale as invading armies of evil grow stronger every day. Now four heroes must beat back the onslaught of creatures and defend against the dark. Choose your hero and join up to three friends to battle legendary monsters, vanquish unstoppable bosses, earn powerful gear, and unlock new abilities to take on even bigger challenges.”

While its online services are coming to an end, the game’s offline features will ensure that players can continue exploring Icewind Dale in single-player mode.
