BLAST announced the schedule for issuing invitations to their tournaments

Tournament operator BLAST has revealed its plans for 2025, announcing a comprehensive schedule that includes two tournament circuits per year, resulting in a total of eight championships.

The company also released the dates for issuing invitations to its tournaments:

• Bounty Season 1: December 16, 2024
• Rising Season 1: January 20, 2025
• Open Season 1: January 27, 2025
• Rivals Season 1: March 31, 2025
• Bounty Season 2: July 14, 2025
• Rising Season 2: July 14, 2025
• Open Season 2: July 14, 2025
• Rivals Season 2: October 13, 2025

BLAST provided more details about the unique features of each tournament type:

• BLAST Bounty: “The uniqueness of this tournament lies in the pressure that comes with a good seed—not just figuratively, but almost literally. Your seed becomes a ‘bounty on your head,’ and defeating your team grants opponents 50% of your prize pool as a guaranteed payout, with the remaining 50% added to their prize pool,” the operator explained.
• BLAST Risinings: These are regional tournaments held in North and South America, Europe, and Asia. The best team from each region will receive an invite to the BLAST Open.
• BLAST Open: This tournament will invite teams from the Valve top-12 rankings and the winners of the Risings tournaments. It will be held in iconic esports locations.
• BLAST Rivals: This is the season’s decisive tournament, where the top eight teams will compete to determine the strongest. The tournament will feature the top four teams from the global Valve rankings and invited teams from all four regions.
