Remedy confirms that Control 2 will be an action RPG

During the company’s Capital Markets Day results, Finnish developer Remedy Entertainment announced that Control 2 will incorporate RPG elements, though no further details were provided. Additionally, the Control Ultimate Edition will be released on Mac on February 12.

It was also revealed that Alan Wake 2 has surpassed 1.8 million units sold.

The second DLC for Alan Wake 2, titled The Lake House, seems to hint at Remedy’s next project.

Control 2 is in development at Remedy Entertainment and is co-financed by Annapurna. Remedy will publish the game.

Annapurna also intends to bring Remedy’s intellectual properties, including Control and Alan Wake, to film, TV, and other media formats.

Thomas Puha, the communications director, explained the partnership, stating: “This deal allows Remedy to create Control 2 exactly as we envision it, while also having an amazing partner to help extend our IPs into other forms of media.”
