NAVI crowned champions at IEM Rio 2024

Natus Vincere (NAVI) has emerged victorious at IEM Rio 2024 in CS2, defeating MOUZ in the grand final with a score of 3:1. Under the leadership of Andrey “B1ad3” Gorodenskiy, NAVI showcased their skills by taking their opponents’ pick, Inferno, with a narrow round difference of 13:11.

The match saw each team securing a map, with NAVI winning Dust 2 and Mirage by 13:6. MOUZ put up a strong defense on Ancient, managing ten rounds, but NAVI staged a remarkable comeback, finishing the map at 13:11 without needing overtime.

The tournament’s Most Valuable Player (MVP) award went to Mihai “iM” Ivan, who celebrated his first medal in his professional career.

Looking ahead, NAVI’s next challenge will be the BLAST Premier World Final 2024, set to take place from October 30 to November 3 at a LAN event in Singapore. The tournament will feature other top teams, including G2 Esports, Team Vitality, and Astralis, all vying for a prize pool of one million dollars.
