In the U.S., the documentary film Grand Theft Hamlet, which was entirely shot in GTA Online, is set to hit theaters. Created during the COVID-19 quarantine, it tells the true story of two authors who found themselves out of work and attempted to stage the play Hamlet in a virtual world.
The film has already garnered acclaim, winning the award for Best Documentary at the SXSW festival. The release is scheduled for 2025, and audiences will have the opportunity to see this unique project that blends elements of theater and video games.
