The franchise head confirmed that Diablo 4 will be optimized for PS5 Pro

Fergusson, the senior vice president and general manager of the Diablo franchise at Activision Blizzard, confirmed that Diablo IV and its new expansion Vessel of Hatred will be enhanced for Sony’s new premium console, PS5 Pro. In response to a fan question on X, he noted that this question has been frequently asked lately and was happy to announce the upcoming improvements.

“I’m very proud of our hardworking team that made this possible,” Fergusson wrote. However, he did not specify when players will be able to take advantage of the new features on PS5 Pro.

Previously, fans had speculated about whether games under Microsoft’s umbrella would support Sony’s premium console. Diablo 4 has now joined a list of over 50 titles that will support PS5 Pro at launch. This list primarily consists of exclusives and third-party games with existing marketing agreements with PlayStation, but it also includes some titles with marketing deals with Microsoft, such as the recently delayed Assassin’s Creed: Shadows.
