Riot Games has officially announced the launch of a new multi-regional league—League of Legends Championship Pacific (LCP). The league will serve as the main competitive platform for League of Legends in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region, with its first season set to begin in 2025. Through LCP, teams will have the opportunity to qualify for major international tournaments like MSI and Worlds, as well as a new international championship.

To further support esports growth in the APAC region, three national leagues will be established: the Pacific Championship Series (PCS), the Vietnam Championship Series (VCS), and the Japan League (LJL). These leagues will hold tournaments with opportunities for promotion to LCP. Riot Games has also announced plans for future expansions and the creation of new leagues in other regions.
With the introduction of LCP, Riot Games aims to strengthen the esports ecosystem in APAC, offering more opportunities for local teams and players.
