The multiplayer game Deadlock by Valve, which has been in a closed beta test for a select group, has already been hit by cheaters. Despite the fact that the exact release date has not yet been announced, videos have surfaced online showing players using cheat software.
As reported by the 80 Level portal, a user on the Reddit platform posted evidence of the use of aimbots and other cheats in the closed beta version. The video shows one player shooting through walls, while another bends their shots around obstacles. Community members were shocked that cheats appeared even before the game’s release, noting that there are currently no leaderboards or rankings, making such behavior especially absurd.
Valve tried to maintain secrecy around Deadlock, but interest in the project has surged on social media in recent weeks, and hours of footage from the closed tests have leaked online.
The release date for Deadlock and the system requirements remain unknown at the time of writing. Valve’s leadership, including Gabe Newell, confirmed that several more games are in development, with plans to release new single-player projects.
