It seems that the release date for Civilization VII has leaked online ahead of today's official gameplay reveal

According to reliable dataminer billbil-kun, the next installment in the popular turn-based strategy series, Civilization VII, is set to be released on February 11, 2025. The game will be available in Standard and Deluxe editions, which are expected to be announced later on Tuesday.

The Deluxe Edition is rumored to include five days of early access, starting from February 6. The Standard Edition is expected to cost $69.99 for PS5 and Xbox, and $59.99 for Nintendo Switch, while the Deluxe Edition will be priced at $99.99 for PS5 and Xbox, and $89.99 for Switch.

The first gameplay footage of Civilization VII will be showcased during the Gamescom Opening Night Live event, starting at 11:00 AM PT / 4:00 PM ET / 7:00 PM BST.

Following this, 2K and developer Firaxis will host their own Gameplay Showcase on the Firaxis Twitch channel and the official Civilization YouTube channel. This showcase will begin at 1:30 PM PT / 6:30 PM ET / 9:30 PM BST and will last for over 20 minutes, with 2K promising exclusive insights and deep dives into new features and innovations.

Attendees of Gamescom from August 21 to 25 will also have the opportunity to see the game in action at the official Civilization VII booth in Hall 6.

After the leak, Civilization VII was officially announced at the Summer Game Fest showcase in June. At that time, 2K stated that the game would be released in 2025 for PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, PS4, and Xbox One.
