Activision Halts Release of Highly Anticipated H2M Mod for Modern Warfare Remastered

The H2M mod for Modern Warfare Remastered, which promised to refresh the multiplayer mode of the original Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, will not see the light of day. Just hours before its release, the mod’s creators announced its cancellation due to a cease and desist order received from Activision Publishing.

The H2M mod was set to feature over 50 maps, an updated progression system, new attachments and camos, as well as the original killstreaks from Modern Warfare 2. The mod generated significant interest, causing Modern Warfare Remastered to climb to fourth place on the Steam charts.

However, following the legal notice, the developers were forced to halt all operations and shut down the project permanently.
