Valorant open beta launched on PS5 and Xbox series

Valorant, the competitive online shooter from Riot Games, is continuing to broaden its audience by embracing new platforms. Now, anyone can try this popular game on the next-generation consoles PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Recently, an open beta test for Valorant began on these consoles. Previously, access to the game was possible only by invitation, but now everyone can experience this popular shooter.

The Riot Games development team had to put in a lot of effort to adapt the controls for gamepads. The console version will feature a special Focus mode, which is similar to “hip firing” but with reduced sensitivity to assist with aiming.

The console version of Valorant includes all the content from the PC version. Crossplay between PS5 and Xbox Series X|S is also implemented, allowing players from different platforms to compete against each other. However, crossplay with PC players is not supported.
