This autumn, Starfield will feature the expansion “Shattered Space”

During an interview with Kinda Funny Games on Monday, game director Todd Howard shared details about the upcoming DLC launch and discussed new features coming to the game.

“Shattered Space will be released in autumn, but we have a big update coming very soon for Starfield,” he noted. “There’s a lot of stuff… we revamped the map, so we have some city map elements.”

The Shattered Space expansion was announced ahead of Starfield‘s release last September and is included in the game’s more expensive editions.

In December, Bethesda announced that Shattered Space, their “first major expansion coming next year,” would feature “new story content, new locations, new gear, and much more.”

He also mentioned that significant new features and fixes for Starfield are planned to be rolled out approximately every six weeks.

“The update we have coming [next], I think it’s going to be announced in a few days this week, and then it’ll be available in the Steam beta, and it also contains some great stuff for ship building,” Howard added.

In another part of the interview, he noted that Bethesda isn’t ruling out partnerships with external developers on future games as they seek solutions to increase productivity.
